Governments and big corporations have lined up to sell biometrics and RFID to the population in preparation of the new national sales tax, new international taxes, and to track and trace everything we buy sell and do, which they publicly admitted in the total information awareness network. In order to do that they must eventually get people to accept the idea of a cashless society.
Just recently, CBS news came out with an article about Sweden trying to go cashless:
"In most Swedish cities, public buses don't accept cash; tickets are prepaid or purchased with a cell phone text message. A small but growing number of businesses only take cards, and some bank offices - which make money on electronic transactions - have stopped handling cash altogether."
"There are towns where it isn't at all possible anymore to enter a bank and use cash," complains Curt Persson, chairman of Sweden's National Pensioners' Organization. He says that's a problem for elderly people in rural areas who don't have credit cards or don't know how to use them to withdraw cash."
"Oscar Swartz, the founder of Sweden's first Internet provider, Banhof, says a digital economy also raises privacy issues because of the electronic trail of transactions. He says other anonymous payment methods need to be introduced instead. "One should be able to send money and donate money to different organizations without being traced every time," he says."
But being tracked and traced is the whole point of a cashless economy, so that EVERY transaction is made known to the mafia police state, which itself could not survive if it's fraud and corruption were exposed to the light of day.
The cashless society is the socialist government's way of plundering, confiscating and controlling the peoples' assets. The first thing the Nazi's did in the 1930's to establish control over their population was to establish "money crimes" that were punishable by forfeiture and imprisonment. Here in America it's now seen as suspicious activity to conduct your affairs in cash.
The FBI recently released a memo claiming that among other things, anyone paying for just a cup of coffee with cash should be regarded as a potential terrorist. America has become Nazi Germany. This is all just a way to not only enrich the government's debt-ridden coffers and drive us toward the cashless society, but to place Orwellian-type controls on the American people.
But if we move to a cashless society here in America it will be the biggest mistake the central planners ever made. The absence of cash will encourage the barter system, and as every well educated human being knows, the natural evolution of a barter system results in a commodity based currency which eventually will be gold and/or silver. Once people get used to using gold and silver as mediums of exchange, the demand for the precious metals will skyrocket and their price will go through the roof, and that is before people start to look at them as a store of value. A cashless society will kill the fiat currency system.
