My name is Susy and I would love to give God the glory for the permanent healing of my asthma.
It all began when I was five years old and I had moved countries. My breathing became difficult upon settling at my new home; my chest would feel heavy and tight. My Mum took me to the doctor and he immediately put me on the Nebuliser machine.
The doctor prescribed two Ventolin puffers: one in case of an asthma attack and the other for everyday use. I remember how I would have to sit with the Nebuliser machine on and breathe deeply in and out before going outside to play with my brothers and sister. This was particularly important when the seasons changed and when pollen filled the air.
I was gasping for air and it felt like I was fighting for every breath.
There were many times when I would have an asthma attack. I was gasping for air and it felt like I was fighting for every breath. I remember how difficult it was to breathe and that it was as if I was breathing through a thin straw. Sometimes these asthma attacks would happen during the day but the majority of them woke me up in the middle of the night struggling for air.
One time, when my Dad went to England for a church convention, there was a time of prayer where you could ask for prayer for a specific illness or problem. My Dad went forward and one of the senior officers prayed with my Dad that my asthma would disappear. When he came back to Australia, Dad asked me when I last had an asthma attack. I said: “Not since you’ve gone!”
Since then I have never had another asthma attack nor any wheeziness in breathing. Although I have represented my high school in multiple sports, such as long distance cross-country running and relay swimming sprints, I have never had any breathing difficulties at all.
Glory be to God for having healed me from asthma permanently, once and for all. I know that His Son, Jesus Christ, paid the price on the cross for your sickness today and that “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” HEBREWS 13:8.
May God bless you as you seek Him as your Healer.
Love in Christ,
