THE OLD TESTAMENT:
"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination." (Leviticus 18:22)
"If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them." (Leviticus 20:13)
THE NEW TESTAMENT:
"They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator - who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." (Romans 1:25-27)
"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexuals nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." (1st Corinthians 6:9-11)
Jesus never mentioned homosexuality directly, but He did condemn all forms of sexual immorality:
"What comes out of you is what defiles you. For from within, out of your hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile you." ( Mark 7:20-23)
It should be emphasized that through Christ, according to the New Testament, we have transcended Old Testament punishments and rituals (John 1:16-17, Romans 8:1-3, 1 Corinthians 9:20-21). Punishment is now secondary to Jesus' message of repentance and redemption. However, clearly if an individual OR a nation is to recieve God's blessings and salvation, they must live in accordance with His will, which is clearly that we not practice or approve of what is so obviously a perversion.
For decades now through media and Hollywood propaganda, homosexuality has been promoted as something harmless. An 'alternative lifestyle'. The Senate degrades the military by repealing the ban on homosexuals openly serving in it. States are legalizing 'same sex marriage'. Controlled media and Hollywood brainwashes Americans into accepting this perversion with very little resistance. Now you can better understand why God's protection and blessings have been lifted off of this nation. America is now in virtual ruin. Our economy is a shambles. We are being overun with illegal aliens, who laugh at us. Our manufacturing base has been shipped to communist China. Our military is being wasted on unessesary wars, while our border security is virtually nonexistent. There are reasons for this, and the widespread acceptance of homosexuality is one of the most obvious.
This is not a condemnation of homosexuals. They simply must repent of their deviant lifestyle. But how can they if they believe that there is nothing wrong with it? If everyone and everything around them is telling them that it's normal? The homosexual propagandists in Hollywood, the media and politics have done their job well. And now America is paying the price for it.
