What happened in Boston the week of April 15, 2013 should be a lesson for all of us in America. It can happen here. And it did. Martial Law.
What else would you call it? Bursting into homes without a warrant, brandishing machine guns, while wearing head to toe tactical body armor. Armored vehicles patrolling the streets, ordering residents to stay inside. Entire cities in lockdown.
And what better place to beta test martial law than Massachusetts, where the people have essentially allowed their right to own a gun to be stolen from them. The leftist orientation of many living there would only encourage those behind the scenes to see how far they can go in imposing tyranny on the American people.
Did one resident of Watertown or Boston simply tell the police that the suspect wasn't in their house, and that they don't have the right to search their house?
And if they did, what was the result? Judging from the videos it would appear that the police would just violate the right to be secure in your possessions and property.
The 4th Amendment to the United States Constitution was added as part of the Bill of Rights. It deals with protecting people from the searching of their homes and private property without properly executed search warrants. The 4th Amendment reads like this:
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
It is very clear that these rights were seriously violated in Massachusetts.
Despite arguments to the contrary, the fact is that our domestic law enforcement agencies were acting like fully militarized, combat-ready soldiers who were executing orders in a war zone.
Their were no warrants in the hands of law enforcement officials as they surrounded homes and forced residents out at gunpoint.
Another aspect of this is that the main suspects in the bombing were radical Muslims. However, the leftist politicians and media were openly suggesting that Tea party followers and patriots were likely behind the bombing until it became clear that this was not the case.
Despite the fact that there was absolutely no evidence to back up their slanderous claims, numerous left leaning personalities tried to make the connection anyway, in order to push their twisted political agenda.
They were willing to pin this attack on a completely innocent group in order to help Obama exploit the attack and blame it on his enemies.
All of this once again clearly displays the bias in the media. It's highly unlikely that any of these anti-Christian America hating deviates will ever offer an apology for their vilification of people and groups who oppose them and believe in their constitutional rights.
However, some good may come out of this after all. Their plans backfired when the truth came out, and this will likely help stall Obama's push for 'amnesty' for illegals, gun control, and other similarly unconstitutional and destructive legislation.
It might also help wake people up as to how far along America has moved toward a police state and force a change. The people in the Boston area should be demanding an apology for the clear violations of their rights throughout this event. However, similar to the leftists, police will rarely offer apologies for their abuses of power.
