Just days after a second assassination attempt on Donald Trump, there are reports that police discovered an explosive device in a vehicle close to the venue for Trump's rally this evening in New York.
Nassau County Police Department sources reportedly told a journalist that "During K9, doing their checks, they found an explosive device in one of the vehicles and that driver ended up running into the woods."
Investigative reporter James Lalino notes that the sources told him "the perimeter was breached and a blue barrel was removed" from a vehicle.
Lalino added that the source said of the suspect "No one saw if he had anything on him, they just saw him take off running. A lot of cars are now parking, they're lining up on Hempstead Turnpike, just parking on the grass. Even over at Eisenhower Park, they're just parking over there."
Since the story broke, Newsweek, among others, are claiming that the information is inaccurate.
The AP put out a weird report claiming that explosives were not found and that police only questioned and detained a person who "may have been training a bomb detection dog."
Weirder still, the report claims that the person "was a civilian and not a member of a law enforcement agency."
Ah right, just a guy training a bomb sniffing dog next to the Trump rally. Nothing to worry about. Happens all the time.
As we highlighted earlier, Rep. Eli Crane warned that from evidence he has seen, there may be a "mole" inside the Secret Service who is leaking intelligence in order to purposefully put Trump's life at risk. Could this latest development be more of the same?
One thing is certain, Trump is in grave danger and it will only increase as the election approaches.
The narrative has been fixed that the Secret Service do not have the resources to protect Trump, with sources inside both US and UK intelligence agencies telling reporters this is the case.
