If you are still weighing whether or not to remain on the Big Tech social media platforms, new policies being implemented by Joe Biden's Department of Homeland Security should make your decision easier.
According to reports, DHS under Biden now sees "domestic extremists" everywhere since the Jan. 6 Capitol Building riot because the Democrat Party and the regime are using the incident as an excuse to become the 2021 version of the Nazi secret police, the Gestapo (and they called Donald Trump 'Hitler').
According to NBC News, DHS will implement a "sweeping set of policy changes" allegedly to bolster the massive agency's ability to collect our data that will include "the sorts of public social media posts that threatened an attack on the" Capitol.
Unnamed senior officials told the network that though the FBI and other U.S. agencies were aware of several posts related to pre-planning of the assault, they were not determined to be "actionable."
"DHS plans to expand its relationships with companies that scour public data for intelligence, one of the senior officials said, as well as to better harness the vast trove of data it already collects about Americans, including travel and commercial data through Customs and Border Protection, or CBP, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, the Coast Guard, the Secret Service and other DHS components," the report said.
Critics of Big Government and Big Tech's already powerful spying capabilities were quick to pounce.
"Gee, what could possibly go wrong with this?" The Conservative Treehouse quipped.
"From the description it appears DHS is going to pay 'big tech' (Google, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, SnapChat, Twitter, etc.) via contracts, to hire and organize internal monitoring teams to assist the government by sending information on citizens they deem 'dangerous,'" the blog said.
"Expand your thinking to what was initiated with the COVID model for 'contact tracing' and you can quickly see how physical proximity to a rogue dissident, a person with wrong thoughts – aka a domestic extremist, can result in you being labeled along with that dissident ... and you are on the list," the site added.
"Then overlay the efforts of Big Tech to assist the administrative state with an electronic trail of your habits, contacts, phone calls, text messages and internet patterns ... and you are on the list."
NBC also quoted another senior official who said the department is considering additional changes to its terrorist watchlist "to see if there are ways we can leverage it to take into account international and domestic travel of known violent extremists."
'Violent extremists,' of course, are determined by the government; the citizen identified as such has no say in it and cannot defend himself or herself until he or she is persecuted by Uncle Sam's spy agencies - and all with Big Tech's assistance.
"The idea is to identify people who may through their social media behavior be prone to influence by toxic messaging spread by foreign governments, terrorists and domestic extremists. We want to Identify the narratives that are emerging, assess which narratives are likely to incite violence, figure out what targets are likely and then take steps to mitigate the risk," said one government official.
The same source claimed that DHS would be implementing these new policies "in a very careful way that is mindful of privacy and civil liberties, because it's focusing on narratives, not people."
"Domestic violent extremism poses the most lethal, persistent terrorism-related threat to our homeland today. Under Secretary Mayorkas' leadership, DHS is working closely with federal, state, local, tribal, and non-government partners to address this threat, and all of our efforts are carried out in close coordination with our privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties experts," the department said in a statement.
Right. Just like the NSA was 'very mindful of privacy and civil liberties' during the Obama administration when the agency was vacuuming up every bit of data on Americans it could grab, according to whistleblower Edward Snowden.
MEDIA BANS WORD "CRISIS" TO DESCRIBE BIDEN BORDER DISASTER
By Ethan Huff - afinalwarning.com
The Associated Press (AP) has ordered all journalists to stop using the word "crisis" to describe the situation at America's southern border because fake "president" Joe Biden and Jen Psaki, his press secretary, do not like the term and the way it negatively reflects on the regime.
AP Vice President and Editor-at-Large for Standards John Daniszewski claims that there is no crisis at the border to begin with, which is why he is now advising all mainstream media reporters to pretend as though everything is just fine in Biden's America.
"The current events in the news – a sharp increase in the arrival of unaccompanied minors – is a problem for border officials, a political challenge for Biden and a dire situation for many migrants who make the journey, but it does not fit the classic dictionary definition of a crisis," a memo circulated by Daniszewski claims.
Needless to say, Beijing Biden and his people refuse to use the word crisis when talking about the thousands of illegal aliens who are pouring across America's border. Many of them are being trafficked and held in cages under Biden's watch, it is important to note.
As to be expected, the AP is blaming President Donald Trump for the current situation, which between Nov. 8, 2016, and Jan. 20, 2021 was widely referred to as a "crisis" by the media. However, now that Hunter's dad is occupying the White House, this "crisis" is no longer a "crisis," unless it can still be blamed on Trump.
According to the AP, the rise in "unaccompanied minors" flooding America's southern border "follows a monthly increase in border crossings each month since April, or the last eight months of the Trump presidency."
In other words, there is no "crisis" and everything is just fine, except that there is a "crisis" and it is all Trump's fault. This is the official position of the AP, which steers news media headlines and content for much of the "civilized" world.
"The current level of crossings in 2021 is roughly equivalent to the last upturn that occurred in mid-2019," the AP alleges.
Now that Dementia Joe is America's figurehead, the AP is using neutral language while claiming that anything that appears out of the ordinary concerning the border rush "is a product of regular season fluctuation."
The AP says that the word "crisis" can, in some circumstances, be used to describe Biden's border debacle. The caveat is that doing so will require a disclaimer, of sorts, relinquishing Trippy Joe of all responsibility.
"If using the word 'crisis,' we need to ask of what and to whom," the AP memo reads "There could be a humanitarian crisis if the numbers grow so large that officials cannot house the migrants safely or in sanitary conditions."
"Migrants may face humanitarian crises in their home countries. In theory, there could be a security or a border crisis if officials lose control of the border, allowing people to enter unencumbered in large numbers. But, in general, avoid hyperbole in calling anything a crisis or an emergency."
One example that the AP proposes is suggesting that the border crisis is posing a "challenge" for Biden. Instead of blaming Biden, the AP says journalists should paint Biden as the victim of a migrant onslaught, to which he is responding by doing everything possible to remedy it.
Again, the AP had a completely different set of rules during the Trump administration. The AP routinely used the phrase "humanitarian crisis" to describe the southern border situation back then, but now under Biden it is "hyperbole" to use such language.
